Desert adaptations

Cacti store water in thick stems and have spines instead of leaves to reduce water loss. Camels have humps full of fat for energy.

Arctic adaptations

Polar bears have thick fur and a layer of fat (blubber). White fur camouflages them in snow.

Rainforest adaptations

Tall trees grow huge leaves to catch sunlight. Frogs have sticky pads to grip wet leaves.
